What should I do when my child must miss school due to illness?
A
When your child is absent, you must notify the school office. It will be necessary for the school office to call you if you have not notified the school by 10:30 a.m.

How can I get make-up work for my child who has been absent?
A
When you call the school office to report your child absent, please request make-up work at this time. It will be ready for you to pick up after 3:00 p.m.

Will my child have a locker at the Intermediate School?

Yes, all children are required to place their belongings in a locker. Adequate time will be given to your child to learn his/her combination.

I am new to the district. What will I need to do?

You will need the following information to show proof of residency to the school when registering your child.
1. A rent receipt or proof of purchase proving residency within the boundaries of the Mt. Zion School District.
2. A copy of the parent's/legal guardian's current voter's registration card.
3. A copy of the parent's/legal guardian's current driver's license.
4. Verification of a mailing address within the district.Q
